Harvest Hosting at Six Sigma

We recently joined Harvest Hosts in hopes to find cool new wineries. Our first Harvest Host was with Six Sigma winery in Lower Lake CA Easter weekend. Lower Lake is about an hour drive north of Napa. Not only is the wine fabulous but so are the grounds.

The Ranch

When you enter Six Sigma you know your in for a treat! From the drive in down the dirt road (about 1.5 miles) to seeing all the livestock roaming and vineyards its truly beautiful. They have grass fed sheep, livestock and pigs. My kids were in heaven getting to see the animals roaming freely. You can also purchase meat annually from them which is pretty amazing! While visiting the ranch you can take advantage of all the hiking and biking trails they have to offer.

Tasting Room

There is a cute little tasting room close to all the sites. Since it’s still covid you need to set up a reservation for a tasting. We did a full tasting (duh) and added a charcuterie board which was amazing. They a few different varieties of wine from a Sauvignon Blanc to a really yummy Red Blend. We had the lovely Rachel educating us on each of their wines. After you do your tasting you can purchase some bottles (or in our case, a case) and enjoy them back at your camp site.

Camping

Camping here is really nice. The slips are all pretty level and well spaced out. There are no hook ups so you will be dry camping here. We were originally going to stay 3 nights but ended up doing 2. I feel like 1-2 nights is perfect at this location. I would highly recommend this winery to check out on your Harvest Host Adventures.

Some late night Shenanigans.
I wish I could sleep this hard!
